In a simplified concept, we can say that the HUMUS PROJECT is solidarity that feeds the needy.

​

In biological meaning, humus is the  organic matter deposited in the soil, which results from the  decomposition of dead animals and plants, or their by-products.  Humus is formed through a natural process, produced by bacteria and fungi in the soil, and external agents such as humidity and temperature contribute to humification.

​

By good philosophical semantics, humus is nothing more than the collaboration of many agents for a result greater than the sum of all components. If there is no emptying and death of the vanities in each one's heart, there will never be room for altruism, compassion and piety, principles and actions fully focused  for the next.

​

This is the way God chose to fulfill his purposes: to use people who are available, with sensitive hearts.

​

The purpose of PROJECT HUMUS is to give food to needy families, mainly from African countries.

​

The Gideons 24 Hours Ministry, in its operations on 5 continents, realized that in addition to fulfilling the wonderful purpose of taking prayer and worship towers to churches, it should also meet the basic needs of needy families, who often have no food.

​

Knowing the suffering of our African brothers, we cannot close our eyes. And we invite you to do the same.

            WHAT IS THE  INTEGRATED POWER SYSTEM

Named “Sisteminha”, it is an integrated system for food production, developed in partnership with Embrapa by the Brazilian scientist and researcher, PhD in genetics and biochemistry, Professor Luiz Carlos Guilherme.

The system was created and developed to generate food security for its users. The central element is the creation of fish, in a tank, with a recirculation and filtration system.

The main advantages of Sisteminha are its excellent cost-benefit ratio, with an installation cost of around R$5,000.00 and maintenance costs of around R$100.00.

​

It is an integrated solution that can be easily adapted to site needs.  It is suitable for small spaces (from 100 m2), in urban and rural areas; and is a solution sized to meet the nutritional needs of a family of up to six people.

​

Our goal for 2020 is to install at least 20 Little Systems. Help us achieve this goal.
