Love that creates a future: Orphanage in Uganda welcomes 374 children and dreams of a vocational school.

A story of faith, prayer, and solidarity unites the Gideões 24h Diante do Senhor ministry with the work of Pastor Paul Wandera, who dedicates his life to caring for orphans in the city of Jinja, Uganda.

A calling born from pain that transformed into a mission.

The story of Pastor Paul Wandera is marked by a profound experience of pain and purpose. He lost his father when he was only four years old and experienced firsthand the reality of orphanhood. Years later, God transformed this experience into a calling: to care for children who live the same reality he faced in his childhood.

Today, in Jinja, Uganda , the pastor coordinates a missionary work that shelters 374 orphaned children , 179 of whom are deaf . More than just providing shelter, the project seeks to guarantee dignity, education, and spiritual development for each of them.

The partnership with the Gideons 24h

In 2015 , the pastor became acquainted with the Gideões 24h Diante do Senhor ministry and established a Prayer Tower in his church, initiating a partnership that has yielded important results for missionary work in the country.

Since then, the ministry has walked alongside Pastor Paul, collaborating in the development of the orphanage and the educational and spiritual initiatives that serve these children.

The photos taken this weekend show moments of joy and hope: 📚 children participating in activities at the Elementary School 🙏 and a meeting at one of the churches coordinated by the pastor in Uganda.

These images reveal a vibrant work, where faith and solidarity transform lives every day .

The next step: a vocational school.

Now, a new dream is beginning to take shape. The foundations have already been laid for the future Susie Valadão Vocational Secondary School , which will allow these young people to continue their studies and receive vocational training.

School will be essential in preparing these children for the future — not just as professionals, but as Christian leaders capable of transforming their nation .
