Cry for Mwenga – Democratic Republic of the Congo

In the Mwenga territory of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the suffering of the population has been alarming.

The armed group BAZALENDO, part of the MALAIKA movement, under the command of the self-proclaimed General Kabala, has committed torture, abuse and extortion against defenseless civilians — including children and women.

Confiscation of essential goods, illegal charges, cruel physical punishment, and indiscriminate violence are just some examples of what is happening there.

The population calls for justice and urgent intervention.

"...and they were judged each according to their works."

Let us pray and raise our voices for our suffering brothers and sisters.

May Christ, the Righteous Judge, bring light and justice to this land.
