The Gideões 24h Diante do Senhor ministry recently completed another important step in training leaders and counselors for children's ministry. On February 28th and March 10th, a Counselor Training Course (CFC) was held for the Gideões Mirins and Gideões Sementinhas projects, preparing teams to start this ministry in different churches.

The initiative aims to empower people who wish to work in the discipleship of children, teaching principles of prayer, life with God, and mission from the earliest years of life.

In-person training and online follow-up.

The first meeting took place on February 28th, in person, bringing together participants interested in learning more about the work of the Gideões Mirins and Sementinhas ministries and understanding how to implement this ministry in their churches.

Due to increasing interest, a second meeting was held on March 10th, in a live online format, allowing new participants to join the training and enabling teams that had already begun the process to expand the number of counselors prepared to serve in the ministry.

Many people participate in the initial training to learn about the project and subsequently decide to implement it in their churches. At that point, the need arises to train more counselors to accompany the children and support the local work. Therefore, the online course was offered as a way to broaden the reach of the training and meet the demand for new teams.

Participation of different cities

The training included participants from various locations in Brazil, including the cities of Urucânia and Águas Formosas, both in Minas Gerais, as well as participants from the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The diversity of participants demonstrates the growing interest in working with children within the vision of the Gideões ministry, especially in the formation of a new generation committed to prayer and the Kingdom of God. Among the participants in the training were also the missionary couple, Pastor Silas and Aline, who develop the work of the Gideões Mirins (Gideons Children) in Guinea-Bissau. Currently spending time in Brazil, they took the opportunity to update themselves and strengthen the vision of the ministry, with the goal of implementing the project in the church they pastor in Belo Horizonte. During the meeting, Pastor Silas also highlighted how the implementation of the Prayer Tower brought a new era to the ministry. According to him, when the church began to maintain continuous intercession, 24 hours a day, there was a true spiritual change in the community, profoundly marking the church's journey and strengthening the missionary work.

A new generation being prepared

The Gideões Mirins and Gideões Sementinhas projects aim to teach children to develop a life of prayer, intimacy with God, and missionary awareness from an early age.

By investing in the training of counselors and leaders, the ministry expands the possibility for more churches to implement these projects and spiritually accompany the children, preparing a generation that learns from an early age to seek God's presence.

Thus, through initiatives such as the Counselor Training Course, the Gideões 24h Diante do Senhor ministry continues to strengthen the work of prayer and discipleship among new generations.
