Gideões 24h maintains missionary presence in Nepal and strengthens hope amidst adversity.
Nepal has a history marked by challenges, religious persecution, and natural disasters. Amidst this backdrop, the missionary presence of the Gideons 24h represents a sign of hope for communities in need of support, care, and access to the Gospel.
In 2011, a prophetic act marked the beginning of this story. Shortly afterward, a major earthquake struck the country, leaving a trail of destruction. In one of the villages, houses were destroyed, but the church remained intact. At the time, the Christians were gathered for worship.
The episode became a testament to faith for the community. At that time, Christians represented a small portion of the Nepalese population, and the story helped to spark interest in Christianity in the region.
Missions that transform communities
It was in this context that Pastor Lázaro Soares went to Nepal with the purpose of supporting the local population. His missionary work included building houses, a school, and churches, helping to meet the community's needs and strengthen the Christian presence in the country.
Among the initiatives are the establishment of Lagoinha Nepal and the construction of a 24-hour Gideons Prayer Tower. The structure represents the ministry's commitment to continuous intercession for the nation, its inhabitants, and the expansion of the Gospel.
Despite the progress, Nepalese Christians still face challenges related to religious freedom. Therefore, prayer and missionary support remain fundamental to strengthening Christian communities and sustaining the work of those who serve in the country.

In the face of the tragedies and difficulties faced by the population, the mission of the Gideons 24h continues to point to the hope that springs from faith in Jesus Christ.
